Clustered Mail Server Farm
HitDirector utilizes a cluster of highly optimized mail servers. These servers are load balanced using our Foundry NetIron and ServerIron 400 load balancers. The cluster is able to deliver mail at blazing fast speed.

Load Balancing using Foundry ServerIron 400's
Our Foundry ServerIron 400 load balancers ensure service availability by offering server, link, and session level redundancy. In the event of a server or smtp outage, ServerIron load balancers provide detection and sub-second fail-over to the next server. The load balancers are capable of handling 600,000 connections per second.

SPF Records
We have incorporated the Sender Policy Framerwork into our DNS servers and the domain you host with us. This verifies that mail sent by your domain is authentic when coming from our network. Reverse DNS
All hosting accounts come with properly configured reverse DNS that matches your domain name. This is very imporant to have, and almost no other host provides this service as it can be complicated for them. However, we have automated this and also have master DNS admins on staff than ensure our DNS works perfectly.

DOMAIN KEYS/DKIM
Every account is setup with domain keys. This is very imporant when attempting to deliver mail to Yahoo, MSN, Earthlink, AOL and many of the largest ISP's.

DEDICATED IP
We have specially configured all of our servers to deliver your mail through your own dedicated ip address. That is like having your own dedicated mail server. This is a great beneit since no other users mail will affect your mail delivery. Many times when sending mail to hotmail, yahoo and msn mail could be throttled by the receiver if too much mail comes from them. Since you have your own ip, your aility to mail to any isp is only affected by your own volume.
